What’s Set To Be The Big Movie of 2018?

It seems that we’ll still be loving superheroes this year…

There’s plenty of huge films coming out this year that we’re super excited for. We’ve got the return of The Incredibles after a whopping 13 year wait, ANOTHER remake of Halloween, and even a reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise starring Alicia Vikander.

With that in mind, the online bookmaker Betway have decided to predict just what movies are set to cause a storm at the box office this year. It’s unsurprising that the dominant impact of comic book adaptations will continue, with the eagerly-awaited Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther.

Avengers: Infinity War is the favourite to be 2018’s highest grossing film, closely followed by Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Incredibles 2, and Deadpool 2. It seems like Hollywood may lost a bit of originality, as none of the 15 bigger hitters are original property – they’re either sequels, reboots, or comic book adaptations.

The full list is below:

  • Avengers: Infinity War – 8/11
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story – 11/4
  • The Incredibles 2 – 7/1
  • Deadpool 2 – 10/1
  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – 14/1
  • Aquaman – 16/1
  • Black Panther – 20/1
  • Tomb Raider – 20/1
  • Ant-Man and The Wasp – 25/1
  • Halloween – 25/1
  • Maze Runner: The Death Cure – 25/1
  • Fifty Shades Freed – 33/1
  • Mission: Impossible 6 – 33/1
  • The Predator – 33/1
  • Robin Hood – 50/1
