Pushing back against the stereotypes of female artists in the music industry, pop star in-the-making Simone returns with new single ‘Game Boy’.

‘Game Boy’ is a confident track making a statement about how women are not just a pretty face.

Singer, songwriter, and producer Simone has much more to offer than a catchy chorus. A pop writer that doesn’t follow the rules, Simone is anything but ordinary. management@lmnly

When discussing the track, Simone stated: “I wrote this song as a means of pushing back against the sometimes boxed in perspective on female artists in the music industry.

“We write, produce, run companies, it’s not just about being a singer or a face. It’s important to showcase a stronger narrative, as much as possible, as the industry moves forward.”

After winning multiple songwriting competitions, Simone hosted her own remix competition through Indaba/Splice, garnering hundreds of submissions and boasting high streaming numbers with her remix EP release.

Previous singles ‘Little Bit’ and ‘Clouds’ have also secured over half a million streams to date.
