MNEK Showcases his Triple-Threat Capabilities In New ‘Correct’ Video

With less than a week to go until MNEK unveils his debut album ‘Language’, the pop star has just released a brand new track alongside its accompanying music video.

In ‘Correct’, MNEK channels his feelings about the industry pressure that is loaded on his shoulders ahead of his debut album and manages to turn it into a hard-hitting pop explosion, laden with as much sass and charisma as we’ve come to expect from him.

The track checks any doubters about his musical credibility as he sings about his triple-threat capabilities, such as the fact that he is responsible for the vocals, production, and lyrics on ‘Correct’ himself.

Meanwhile, the music video for the track takes us on a journey inside the mind of MNEK as we see him flexing, taking the crown, and putting any doubters to rest. The star directed the video alongside Luke Biggins and is just as extra as we’d hope, serving as a spectacular and glossy satire of the star.

Speaking about the upcoming album, MNEK said: “This album is so special to me because it’s something I’ve put my heart and soul into writing and producing and singing (and apparently rapping too!).

I’ve waited for the day my debut album is released my entire life, so naaaaturallyy I’ve designed it to be listened to from start to finish – so every song flows into each other in a way that tells a sonic story. I’ve learnt so much as a musician over the years and most importantly as a young man – and I’m excited to share with you all what I’ve learnt so far! This is Language.

MNEK is most known for his singles ‘Colour’ with Hailee Steinfeld, ‘Tongue’, ‘Need You (100%)’ alongside Duke Dumont and ‘Never Forget You’ featuring Zara Larsson which has been certified 3x Platinum in the U.S. He has also been responsible for writing hit songs for Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, and Madonna.

‘Language’ will be released on September 7th and is available to pre-order here.
