MNEK to curate LGBTQ+ music writing camp to coincide with Pride in London

To celebrate Pride In London 2019, MNEK has teamed up with Pride in Music to host an all LGBT+ music writing camp on July 4th and July 5th.

A stellar line up of producers, writers, artists and engineers will come together to work together across two days on brand new music and encourage LGBTQ+ solidarity.

MNEK has curated and will host the event, which will feature artists such as Olly Alexander, L Devine, Ryan Ashley, Rina Sawayama and Kloe, who will work with producers such as Jon Shave, Leo Kalyan and Sakima across the two days.

The camp will be held at Warner Chappell Studio in West London. The aim of the writing camp is for LGBTQ+ artists to help one another and create some amazing new music, plus give up and coming LGBTQ+ artists, writers and producers the chance to work with established artists and writers.

MNEK says: “I’ve set up this camp to have a couple of days specifically for Pride but to also invite some LGBT talent that I really rate to collaborate with each other.

“The community is so creative and full of really gifted writers and producers so I’m really excited that we are getting to come together, be there for each other and make music for this camp!”

Pride In Music is a cross-industry network for the LGBTQ+ community, artists and allies working within British Music, helping to make positive changes in the music industry and to support change across all UK industries.
