Little Mix take on the female stereotype in ‘Woman Like Me’ video

As just further confirmation that Little Mix are a breath of fresh air, the music video to their latest single ‘Woman Like Me’ sees the girls attempt to get elocuted on being a “lady” before throwing the rule book out the window.

The stylish video, directed by Marc Klasfeld, sees the girls attempt to learn good manners and courtesy at an elecution-style stately home. Filmed on location at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, the girls get transported from a riot van to the home in a bid to correct their behaviour. From attempting to balance books on their heads, use cutlery properly, and pour tea, they quickly realise that’s just not them.

Redefining the rules of what it means to be a woman, the girls break out from the accepted norms and make their own definitions. It’s an important message that hopefully won’t go unmissed with their younger fans and shows the benefit of staying true to yourself.

Both the music video and the song feature an impressive verse from Nicki Minaj. In the vid, Minaj appears via a painting because of course she does.

In a humorous way to sharing the video, Henry Lytton Cobbold, the current custodian of Knebworth House, tweeted his thanks to the Little Mix girls for “popping by to do the ironing, some hoovering and some flower arranging at #KnebworthHouse – you’ve got the job. When can you start?”
