Red Dead Redemption 2 FINALLY Has a Release Date

Long-awaited sequel is on its way.

It’s been over x now since Rockstar Games officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2. The cowboy sequel has been eagerly awaited since the original Red Dead Redemption was released way back in May 2010.

The sequel will mark a first time venture for the cowboy series on Xbox One and Playstation 4. Today, Rockstar Games officially announced the release date for the sequel: Friday 26th October 2018 – Eeeek!

We’re BEYOND excited for this game. Whilst the release date is a far stretch from the originally-announced Spring 2018 date, we weren’t feeling too optimistic about that initial date anyway especially the closer we got.

On their website, Rockstar said:

We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.

More information on the game will be released over the coming months, but at least we have a date to put into the calendar now!

Are you excited to play Red Dead Redemption 2?
