Overwatch’s Halloween Terror 2018 Event Is Now Live – With New Skins and Cosmetics

Halloween is fast approaching and for Overwatch fans that sparks one exciting event: Junkenstein’s Revenge.

The spooky event has now become a tradition for players of Overwatch, having been part of the game during the Halloween season for the past two years. Taking place in the fictional land of Adlersbrunn at the castle gates of Eichenwalde, Junkenstein’s Revenge is a co-operative brawl packed with boss fights and waves of baddies to deal with. Will Dr. Junkenstein and his army of Zomnics make it through the castle gates? Not on our watch.

In terms of the brawl itself, not much has changed besides the fact that Tracer and Brigitte are now playable in the mode. The big deal, however, is the new skins that have been exclusively released. Only available until the 31st of October, these skins see some of our favourite heroes take on new haunting forms and we can’t get enough of them.

Our particular faves are Sombra’s Bride outfit, Soldier: 76 as Slasher: 76 and Wrecking Ball’s unique take on the Jack-O’-Lantern. Also available are some Victory Poses and Voice Lines. Each Loot Box guarantees at least one Halloween cosmetic, although there’s no guarantee that you don’t already have it (soz). Previous Halloween cosmetics will also be available, so you can catch a chance to obtain any skins you missed during the previous two events.

The full list of new skins are:

  • Sombra: Bride
  • Moira: Banshee
  • Doomfist: Swamp Monster
  • Widowmaker: Spider
  • McCree: Undead
  • Soldier: 76: Slasher: 76
  • Wrecking Ball: Jack-O’-Lantern
  • Mei: Pumpkin
  • Pharah: Enchanted Armor

Take a look at some of the new looks below and we’re sure to be seeing you at Eichenwalde very soon.
