Get ready to strike a pose and snatch trophies as Ryan Murphy’s latest FX show ‘Pose’ has just been renewed for a second season.

The show, which bolsters the most transgender actors, as well as the most transgender writers, directors, and crew members, in television history and has become one of the stellar shows of the year so far. Airing on Sunday nights, the show is set around the 1980s New York ballroom scene and focuses on a collection of characters.

‘Pose’ has been celebrated for its diversity and for tackling hard-hitting subjects such as transphobia, racism, prostitution, and the AIDS epidemic.

The large cast of ‘Pose’ includes Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar and Angelica Ross. Co-starring on the show include ‘American Horror Story’ alum Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, Billy Porter, Charlayne Woodard, and newcomers Ryan Jamaal Swain, Dyllón Burnside and Angel Bismark Curiel.

Fox Television Group chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman added they they are “so proud of what they’ve achieved and grateful to John and FX for their steadfast belief in the series.”

Whilst Murphy will be leaving 20th Century Fox TV following a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, he will remain as an Executive Producer on the show.

Season one of ‘Pose’ continues Sunday nights on FX, whilst season two will air in 2019.
