The ‘Hurricane Bianca 2’ Trailer is Here and It’s Bringing the Laughs

Not today, Satan.

Back in 2016, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner (and legend) Bianca Del Rio released ‘Hurricane Bianca’. The film had been in development long before she appeared on the season and thanks to her rising popularity it was able to be made.

The little film went on to boost Del Rio’s fanbase and even became one of the most popular films on Netflix over in the UK. The sequel for the film ‘Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate’ is gearing up for release, and we’ve just been treated to our first look at the film.

Joining Bianca in the cast, Returning for the sequel, alongside Bianca, are ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedienne Rachel Dratch, D.J. “Shangela” Pierce, and Molly Ryman.

New to the cast are an impressive roster of star talent, including the likes of Dot-Marie Jones, Alicia Goranson, Kristen Johnston, Cheyenne Jackson, Heather McDonald, Janeane Garofalo and Wanda Sykes.

Don’t think that Bianca hasn’t forgot about her fellow Drag Race girls either. Katya is taking on a major role in the film, whilst Darienne Lake and Mrs. Kasha Davis are also coming along for the ride.

 

The film’s official website describes the sypnosis for the film as:

After winning over the staff and students of Milford High School, chemistry teacher Richard Martinez aka Bianca Del Rio (Roy Haylock) sent her nemesis Vice Principal Deborah “Debbie” Ward (Rachel Dratch) to jail in a flawlessly executed plan. When Debbie is released from jail, she conjures up a scheme to do away with Bianca Del Rio once and for all, by luring her on a dangerous journey to Russia to accept a teaching award and cash prize.

Filled with laughs, celebrity cameos and America’s drag superstars, HURRICANE BIANCA: FROM RUSSIA WITH HATE is packed with surprises and unlikely partnerships that spark friendship and acceptance.
