RuPaul to host Saturday Night Live for the first time

It’s been a long time coming but producers of the hit late-night American series Saturday Night Live have announced that RuPaul will host an upcoming episode.

The sketch variety show has previously featured sketches and references to RuPaul’s Drag Race before but this is the first time that RuPaul himself will appear on the show.

To promote the upcoming twelveth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as his latest Netflix show AJ and the Queen, RuPaul will present the February 8 episode on NBC.

In addition, Justin Bieber will take the stage for his third appearance on the show as a musical guest.

The news comes as SNL continues its 45th season. NFL’S Houston Texan player JJ Watt will make his hosting debut on February 1 with Luke Combs providing music.
