Disney Classics Re-imagined as LGBTQ+ Love Stories? Yes Please!

An artist has shared their re-imagined designs of Disney classics, and we’re SO into them.

We all have a favourite Disney film and no, we’re not including Star Wars, Pixar, or Marvel in that list. If we would have to pick a favourite it’d be a toss-up between The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, or Aladdin.

One thing that any Disney classic failed to hit the mark on is the representation of open and proud LGBTQ+ characters. There may have been a slight hint here and there, but it was all open to interpretation.

Not to worry though, as an artist has been working hard at creating some re-imagined designs of a Disney classic romance for the modern age.

Twitter user @harleivy, who goes by Gabi online, shared the awesome designs online and within hours, she’d already received more than 15,000 retweets. The designs originally came from Tumblr user Simonbaz.

Some of the new relationships include Jasmine from Aladdin pairing up with The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame‘s Esmeralda, and even Hercules and Aladdin themselves sharing a moment together.

Take a look at some of the designs below:
