New Photo Series Celebrates the Excellence of Drag

Drag elegance!

Drag is the ultimate form of expressionalism and a new photographic book is set to celebrate and showcase some of the most exciting drag performers.

The photo series by Gregory Kramer, a New York City based fashion photographer and director, brings together 50 of the most talented drag performers from across the US including Sasha Velour, Peppermint, Lady Bunny, and Merrie Cherry.

Each photograph showcases the spirit, style, and expression of the performer, presented in the style of classic black and white, full-length studio portraits.

The collection of photographs are presented in Kramer’s book Drags, which also features essays by Charles Busch, Sasha Velour, Linda Simpson, Goldie Peacock, and Sweetie.

Profits from sales of the book will be donated to the Ali Forney Center, a New York based not-for-profit and the largest agency dedicated to LGBTQ homeless youths in the country—assisting nearly 1,400 youths per year.

You can purchase the book via the Drags website here.
