Queen Zee Unleash Defiantly Fierce New Track ‘Sass or Die’

The queer glam band return with another brilliantly loud track.

You know what, there’s not enough queer glam in the world these days. Thankfully, Queer Zee tick all the boxes when you’re looking for your next queercore fix.

Brilliantly described as “The Rocky Horror Picture Show on steroids” by BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart, the Merseyside band are a bold and unforgettable slice of garage punk chaos. Named after frontwoman Queen Zee, the band also consists of Em Dee, Courtney Hate, Frankie French and Lily Bit Furious.

New single ‘Sass or Die’ is a call to arms that continues with the sound and energy that the band have become known for since releasing their debut single ‘Sissy Fists’ in May 2017.

Explaining the latest single, Queen Zee told QWEERIST:

Last year we released a rough B-side version of Sass or Die done in our spare time at the studio. But since then Sass or Die has become much more than a B-side, nothing better captures the essence of Queen Zee than leading line “I wanna do this for the rest of my life”. So, we were decided to give the recording the love it deserved, and soundtrack your summer with it.

Fans of Queen Zee will be able to check out the band as they tour across the UK this summer. Not only will they be performing at Queer Prom in London on the 14th July, but they’ll also take to the stage during Liverpool Pride on the 28th July.

You can follow the band on Twitter and Facebook.
